Woman, 43, arrested after 3 children found dead

A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion on murder after the bodies of three children were found at a house in southwest London, police said on Wednesday.

Police said a 4-year-old girl and two boys, both aged three, were found dead at a residential address in New Malden on Thursday evening.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries after police were called to the house but she was later discharged and arrested on suspicion of murder. She was being held in custory at a south London police station.

Police said in a statement that next of kin had been informed and detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
