Global Village, the family entertainment and cultural destination in Dubai that attracts more than five million visitors a season, is gearing up for its upcoming Season 19 which will begin on November 6, 2014, and end on April 11, 2015.

Senior Dubai government officials have been briefed by senior management at Global Village on a broad range of new developments and initiatives that are set to feature during the forthcoming edition of Global Village, according to a media statement issued by the popular outdoor family entertainment attraction.

A detailed briefing session was conducted for the committee to secure events for the security of the public administration bodies (Events Security Team) – a cross-department government body that includes representatives from Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the Roads and Transport Authority and the Department of Economic Development.

The visit gave the government representatives a chance to be updated on the latest developments and progress at Global Village’s upcoming season and to see that it is set to be bigger and better than ever.

“We were all highly impressed with the preparations for Global Village’s 19th season and the wide range of new and exciting developments to enhance the visitor experience,” said Brigadier General Abdullah Ali Abdullah Hassan Ghaithi, the Director of the General Administration of Security Bodies, Enterprises, and Emergency – Head of Events Security Committee.

“The whole season is gearing up to be a hugely successful six months and we are delighted to be working once again in such close partnership with our colleagues at Global Village,” he said.

“We were delighted to have the opportunity to provide a comprehensive briefing about the many and varied changes that we are making to the forthcoming season of Global Village that will deliver  better family entertainment experience than ever before,” said Ahmed Hussain, Chief Operating Officer at Global Village.

“Every year we work in close partnership with a wide number of government departments to ensure the success of the event.  One of our primary concerns is the safety of the five million visitors we attract every year which is why we work so closely with the Events Security Team to ensure that everything is up to highest international standards in Global Village,” he added.
