Anushka lashes out at TV anchor for asking about Virat Kohli [video]

Bollywood actresses have become an easy target for self-declared twitter intellectuals and media but it's not easy to hit a bull's eye when one faces Anushka Sharma.

A video snippet of an interview Anushka gave to a leading Indian news channel has gone viral in which the actor has lashed out at the journalist interviewing her.

The actress can be seen getting irritated and annoyed with the news anchor when the latter kept asking questions inferring to her cricketer boyfriend Virat Kohli.

Without taking names the anchor continuous nudged Anushka to give details about her love-life.

We transcribe some of the Q&A which was telecast in Hindi.

Anchor: Do you like sports like cricket?

Anushka: I like tennis.

Anchor: But you are spotted in cricket stadiums

Anushka: Everyone likes watching cricket. Where I go, what I do beyond movies is my personal life, I never ask people to come and watch or take my photographs. If anyone takes my pictures I have nothing to say. So I am not liable to you or anyone to answer these questions.

It's (questions) not related to my work. I have never spoken out about my personal life nor will I do so in future.

Anchor: (Still trying her luck) Before any big matches do you makes calls to players who are your friends to wish or encourage them?

Anushka: Yes

Anchor: Did you make any calls recently?

Anushka: This has got nothing to do with my film. This is a very personal question to ask "Whom did you call yesterday", asking for call list. If such questions are thrown at you you will also think it's a very stuupid question to ask. People tune into your channel to see interesting news and we are here to talk about 'NH10'.

Anchor: Who is Team India's best player?

Anushka: I am supporting all eleven players because a team is playing.

Her co-stars Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumaar tried their best to divert the topic but the anchor was persistent till Anushka shut her up.

She was accused of 'distracting' Virat Kohli during the semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2015 and faced a lot of cyber bully for Team India's defeat. 

Recently, a video was released by Eros Now in support of Anushka to take a stand against sexism and cyber bullying.

The video is a montage of all memes, negative comments, harsh tweets targeted at the actress.

But it's the end (short clip of Anushka Sharma from her film NH10) in the video that delivers the perfect reply to all the cyber bullies.

The clip shows Anushka utter a curse word and dares rogues in her life.

It was a strong reaction in response to all the sexism that the actress faced so far.
