Two of Bollywood’s biggest stars are gearing up for an on-screen face-off come November.

While Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic drama ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ is slated to hit the theatres on November 13, Aamir Khan’s thriller ‘Talaash’ is scheduled for November 30.

Considering the two stars boast of a massive fan following, it’d be interesting to see who’d walk away the winner in this box-office battle.

This isn’t the first-time that the two biggies have locked horns for box-office glory. Way back in 2008, Aamir’s fierce thriller ‘Ghajini’ released in the same month as SRK’s poetic romance ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. It marked Aamir as a clear winner, with his movie recording a business of US$35.91 million, and SRK making only US$29.86 million.

Although the two Khans have been courteous to one another in the public, they’ve had their share of petty tiffs as well.

So, this will be the second time in five years that Aamir and Shah Rukh will be pitched against one another in the box-office ring.

Last year, Shah Rukh and Aamir almost came neck to neck with their productions ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ and ‘Delhi Belly’ releasing a month after one another. While SRK’s production didn’t create any buzz, Aamir walked away the winner.

In terms of their acting career, Aamir saw an early start with his wife’s poignant tale ‘Dhobi Ghat’ in January and SRK’s superhero act ‘Ra.One’ in October and racy thriller ‘Don2’ in December.

In 2010, Aamir didn’t feature in any movies, while SRK hogged the limelight in best bud Karan Johar’s ‘My Name is Khan’. The year prior to that, SRK got a head-start with ‘Billu Barber’ in February and Aamir’s rip-roaring hit ‘3 Idiots’ releasing in December.

Although Salman Khan won’t enter the battle field, he’s got his friend Ajay Devgn to pitch in for him. Apparently, Salman has convinced Ajay to release his movie ‘Son of Sardar’ alongside SRK’s movie.

Many insist that this is Salman’s way of hitting back at frenemy SRK. In fact, the trailer of his ‘Dabangg2’ will be unveiled during the screening of ‘Son of Sardar’.

Often movie distributors ensure the bigwigs don’t clash on the same month, allowing each star exclusive slots to lap up the Bollywood spotlight.

“It is purely a business strategy. Otherwise it will impact the business of the movies,” reasoned an entertainment journalist.
