Al Tayer Motors, the local importer-dealer of Land Rover in the UAE, has announced recall of Land Rover vehicles due to fault in front directional indicators.

The company said 660 affected vehicles manufactured in the United Kingdom are on the UAE roads and would be recalled for repairing.

“In the affected vehicles, a concern has been identified where in the event of a front direction indicator lamp failure the required audible and visual warning, (double click/double flash warning) is not provided. The driver will not be alerted to a failure of one or both of the front directional indicators. In a failed condition other oncoming road users will not know the intended direction of the vehicle and this could lead to an increased risk of a vehicle crash,” the company said.

Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Land Rover vehicles in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, will contact owners of the affected vehicles to inform them about the recall for repairing.

The company, the statement said, it will make modification free of charge and vehicle owners can call its customer care center on 8004670 for further inquiries.
