Chinese smartphone better than iPhone 5?

Here’s a phone that could give iPhone 5 a run for its money. No its neither Samsung, Nokia nor the HTC.

Oppo, a Chinese company that earlier held the distinction for being the world’s slimmest phone, is said to be preparing to launch a Smartphone with one of the best features and resolutions.

Oppos’s CEO Chenming Yong writing on a Chinese blog weibo.com confirmed and revealed the feature rich aspects of the new smartphone.

The Oppo Find 5 will have a 5-inch screen with a 1080p resolution at 441pixels per inch (PPI) much more improved than the iPhone’s 326PPI and the 331PPI of Nokia Lumia 920 and the forthcoming BlackBerry 10 L-Series that is expected to come with a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 at 356PPI.

'Emirates24|7' had earlier written about the super-slim Oppo Finder.

The Smartphone that measures just 6.65mm is available for sale at $479.

The operating system of the phone will be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It will also be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, apart from a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, 2GB Ram and a 2,500mAh battery pack.

Now compare this with the iPhone 5 that comes with a 4-inch screen, an IPS LCD display, a CPU speed of 1.2Ghz and an 8-megapixel camera.

No details of the release date and the pricing of the new phone have been announced. But as and when it is released it is definite to give Apple a run for its money.

Given the high obsolescence of ANY gadget, especially smartphones, durability is a non-issue. What is the use of Iphone - 1/2/3/ etc now? We do know that Chinese phone live the required life, enough to protect our investment to face the NEXT coming best thing ;-)

Yes, and we all know how this is going to turn out. Another Chinese phone with little durability. There have been bigger screen phones in the past by chinese manufacturers.
