Airlines in UAE slash fares by 20%

Budget carrier flydubai and Germany’s Lufthansa have both announced flash sales in the midst of spring break that has seen many children home for the holidays.

Flydubai announced a 48 hours flash sale until midday April 4, offering a 20 per cent discount on the lowest return fares (inclusive of taxes) from Dubai, on select destinations.

Popular cities in the region, including Bahrain are going for as low as Dh317, while Kuwait is Dh524 and Alexandria is Dh885.

Cheaper fare is also available on the sub-continent sector, with Karachi going for Dh536 and Hyderabad for Dh966.

The special fares are valid for travel between April 9 and 30, subject to availability.

Meanwhile, Lufthansa has also announced a 48-hour flash sale, enticing those travelling to Europe.

You can choose from destinations such as Munich, Barcelona, Paris or Stockholm, with fares starting from Dh2,220.

Travel has to be between April 9 and August 31, with return between April 12 and November 30, with conditions on duration of stay.
