Al Maya Group to expand its retail network this year

Dubai-based retail firm Al Maya Group is looking to expand its network of supermarkets this year with major focus on expanding its products portfolio from Germany, said a senior official.

Kamal Vachani, Group Director of Al Maya, said the group currently operates more than 40 supermarkets in the UAE and Oman.

“We are planning to continue expanding our network of supermarkets this year,” Vachani said.

This was disclosed by Vachani during a visit of Stefan Gallon, Consul General of Germany in Dubai , to the group’s supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai.

The consul general assured his full support to assist the retail major for increasing food and  fast moving consumer goods imports from Germany.

Gallon discussed enhancing the business relations also through German companies.

Vachani assured that the group will continue to promote German products through its retail network.
