A return flight to Karachi for just Dh535?

Sharjah-based Air Arabia has rolled out its summer fares, with Delhi going for as less as Dh898 return, while Mumbai flights going for as low as Dh950 for the first half of May.

Meanwhile, Emirates is flying to Delhi in May for as low as Dh1,455 and Mumbai at Dh1,515.

While blackout dates apply to most deals, passengers don’t seem to be complaining.

Meanwhile, budget carrier flydubai offered a 48-hour flash deal, with 20 per cent discounted fares on several destinations, including Sialkot for Dh772 and Colombo for Dh 796.

These fares were based on return bookings, inclusive of taxes; the sale lasted until midday on May 2.

Bhavana Sharma who is planning a trip in May to India, said: “I am sure these cheaper fares are only limited to May, before the summer vacations roll out and schools close in Dubai.

“However, considering I don’t have children or am bound to wait until their exams are over and schools close, it is perfect for me to zip out for a few weeks and meet my parents in Mumbai.”

Akram Sheikh, whose wife and children live in Karachi, had said that he would certainly snap up such a deal if it was available, adding: “Of course, I would love to head to Karachi for Dh535. But most of the time, these seats are so limited that you can almost never find them.” 

Aside from the sub-continent, airfares to Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Beirut and Qatar have also been slashed for as low as Dh488 for return.
