The first edition of Dubai’s Ramadan Night Market attracted good response with more than 50,000 visiting the 10-day shopping extravaganza, organiser said.

The exhibition was held in the last ten days of Ramadan at the Dubai World Trade Centre with more than 100 participants showing the products in categories such as apparel, gifting, electronics, perfumes, cosmetics and jewellery.

On the opening day alone, 8,500 visitors thronged the market and on an average 5,000 visitors registered thereafter every day crossing the earlier target of 2,000 visitors.

Sunil Jaiswal, CEO Sumansa Exhibitions, the organizer, said: “We think, what clicked with the visitors, was the concept of the market which is based on the fact that shoppers get unique gifts at the time of Eid for their loved ones. The exhibitors are overwhelmed with the response and some have already committed bigger space for the next edition. Our first edition has been received very well and we are committed to deliver a bigger and better show next year. We will also include more entertainment like kids zone etc in the next edition of Ramadan Night market.

“We are confident that in coming years Ramadan Night Market will become one of the most awaited events in the calendar of UAE. We plan to organise more consumer fairs in coming years, giving an opportunity to midsized retailers to showcase their products and also to the visitors to get that something different which they usually don’t see in the malls. And it will not be just Dubai, but we plan to explore other emirates such as Abudhabi and Sharjah”.
