Dubai WoodShow 2012, the International Wood and Wood Machinery Show scheduled to be held in Dubai early next month, will bring together over 400 exhibitors from across the globe showcasing the latest innovations in the Wood sector.

The show, being held for the 7th year, supported by 54 media partners from 22 countries, will be organised from April 3 to 5, 2012 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Halls 2 and 3. Dubai WoodShow will be spread across 12,000-plus square metres and attract over 8,000 specialised wood industry exhibitors and visitors from across the region.

The Dubai WoodShow provides a unique networking opportunity for regional and international companies in the sector, who will be updated on the latest developments on increasing the range and quality of wood business, and learn new techniques and sources of supply in the sector. The exhibition is a specialized platform for companies to build new strategic relationships with buyers, traders, investors and end-users.

This seventh edition will be particularly focused on 'wood sustainability in the Timber industry' with a seminar and panel discussions to create awareness on the matter. The event will be an excellent platform for exhibitors and visitors to learn about 'Timber Legality'.

Organized by Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions - a market leader in the business of organizing exhibitions, Dubai WoodShow displays the latest products and technology such as MDF, plywood, hardwood, softwood, veneers, timbers, parquet, laminates, as well as woodworking machineries, wood industry tools, accessories, fittings, paints, adhesives, and related products and services.

Dawood, Al Shezawi, CEO - Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions said: "Dubai WoodShow will have on offer the latest innovation, technologies, equipment and development in the wood industry. It is a treasure trove of creative ideas and new technologies, as the attention of wood manufacturers and traders turns to resources that can be renewed, sustained and will not create environmental concerns. The exhibition will be a unique platform to discuss future trends for the sector bringing together construction companies, architects, contractors, manufacturers and designers from around the region, among others."

Dawood added: "Dubai WoodShow has seen tremendous growth over the last seven years - growing from 75 exhibitors representing 15 countries in 2006 to nearly 250+ exhibitors from over 30 countries last year. We are encountering a significant growth in the exhibition in the 2012 show."

The show in 2012 will have 12 country pavilions, including Germany, France, Austria, Italy, America (USA), China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ghana, Canada, Spain, and Turkey, reinforcing its reputation of being the biggest wood industry trade show in the region. Amongst these, the largest group is from USA under the umbrella of the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) with 18 hardwood exporting companies. Along with exporters from French Timber and a substantial group from Canada, including Quebec Wood Export Group and Canada Wood Products, will also be exhibiting. There will also be a number of wood industry businesses from the UAE and Gulf who will be participating, including Al Nibras - importer and distributor of lumber and panel products, who will take centre stage of the Emirates timber trade and will welcome supplier and buyers from all over the region.

The organizers announced that the other exhibitions in the WoodShow series will be held later this year. The Cairo WoodShow will be organized from September 18 to September 21, 2012.
