Emirates Transport spends Dh147m in first half of 2012

Purchased 1,120 heavy and light vehicles

Emirates Transport made purchases worth Dh147million in the first half of this year.

A total of 1,120 both heavy and light vehicles including saloon cars and four wheelers cost a total of  Dh117m while Dh18m was spent on the purchase of tyres. Other spare parts, batteries and engine oil cost Dh11.5m, said Fatima Faraj, Manager of the Purchases and Administration Department at ET.

With 9 branches and 19 business centres ET has made these purchases to meet the demand for the massive fleet of the federal transport and services keeping in mind the agreements with existing and new clients of the corporation.
