Etihad, China airline sign codeshare

Tickets to go on sale from 30th August

 The United Arab Emirate’s national airline, Etihad airways has signed a codeshare with China Eastern Airline. The new agreement follows the exchange of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding with the Shanghai-based Chinese carrier.

As per the new codeshare tickets will be up for sale from 30th August for travel which begins from 3rd September.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, James Hogan,“It expands our networks in a commercially viable and mutually beneficial way, and offers our customers more choice of destinations, schedules and loyalty benefits.”

The MU currently focuses on Abu Dhabi flights travelling to Shanghai. However both the airlines have expansion plans in subsequent phases  where Etihad will cover other destinations in China.
