Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways is looking to hire more than 1,000 UAE nationals over the next three years, giving local talent the chance to take up opportunities in the aviation sector.

The airline also runs many programmes to hire and train nationals.

For example, the UAE National Cadet Pilot Programme is for those looking to become a pilot. “It enables you to work onboard Etihad, after obtaining your Airline Transport Pilot License,” says the carrier.

It also has airport operations development programme, sales, maintenance engineering, finance and audit programmes.

Likewise, the Emirates Group, that owns Emirates Airlines, is also recruiting UAE Nationals.

“We want more UAE Nationals, men and women, to join us,” says the company.

The opportunities that Emirates is offering include yield management, flight operations, finance, human resources, procurement and logistics, group security, destination and leisure management, airport services, IT and engineering.

“As a UAE National, you have the opportunity to work in a variety of locations around Dubai, from Emirates Headquarters, to Dubai International Airport, Dubai world central, Emirates Engineering (Hangars) or Cargo village depending on the division or department you join,” it adds further.

UAE Nationals can benefit by the various programmes that the airline offers like National Aviation Management Programme and Cadet Programme among others.
