Exports add fizz to Dubai Refreshments’ H1 profit

Net profits of Dubai Refreshments Company (DRC), distributor of Pepsi products in Dubai and Northern Emirates, in the first half of 2014 rose 14 per cent to Dh68.7 million compared to Dh60.2m in the same period last year.

The company said in a statement to Dubai Financial Market that its sales volumes have seen healthy growth in the first half.

Revenues and profitability increased mainly due to increase in sales volume in local and exports business and savings in key raw material prices.

DRC revenues in H1 2014 increased 11.7 per cent to Dh478 million from Dh428m in the corresponding period last year while operating profits rose Dh8.7m to Dh60.5m during the first half.
