More than 800 Honda cars recalled in the UAE

Honda has recalled 812 cars in the UAE as a part of its service campaign to ensure protection of its customers.

Al Futtaim Honda has announced that the service campaign is for
2003-04 My Honda MR-V and Odyssey and it will begin from 07/03/2013.

In the affected models, if the customer regularly tries to remove the key before shutting the vehicle into park mode, the lever may wear excessively allowing the key to be removed even when the vehicle is not in park mode. If the ignition key is removed in this mode and the parking brake is not set, the vehicle could roll away.

The campaign is being carried in co-ordination with the Ministry of Economy – Department of Consumer Protection and in line with the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all the products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection.

In consideration with the above, the decision has been taken by Honda Motors and the Ministry of Economy – Department of Consumer Protection to launch a service campaign to carry out the inspection of those 812 vehicles affected in the UAE and if required, replace the affected part to ensure that get customers have their peace of mind.
