NDC inaugurates 5 new workover rigs

National Drilling Company (NDC) has inaugurated 5 new workover land rigs designated for the maintenance of oil wells as part of the comprehensive rig fleet expansion programme to strengthen its drilling capabilities for the offshore onshore operations.

NDC CEO Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi said: “NDC engages the most advanced technologies for well drilling, construction and completion, through cooperating with famous companies of international level to maintain a strong, technologically advanced and highly versatile rig fleet, as well as world class operational expertise and competent personnel.”

Al Suawaidi added: “These unique capabilities and competencies are always aligned with clients’ current needs and future plans. Therefore, NDC launched an ambitious programme of expansion of its drilling fleet through which the company doubled the number of its rigs in the last four years from 28 in 2009 to 58 rigs owned by the company so far.”

The addition of the new workover rigs is another significant step towards ensuring that NDC, as a comprehensive oilfield services provider works steadily to surpass the industry standards in terms of service variety, quality and reliability.
