Tata setting up Mena office in Dubai

Tata Sons, the investment holding company of the Tata Group, is establishing an office in Dubai to cater the Mena region, the company said.

The Indian conglomerate has appointed Sunil Sinha as Resident Director, Middle East & North Africa (Mena) region.

The office’s objective is to further enhance and strengthen Tata Sons’ engagement with all stakeholders in the region, facilitating business growth for Tata group companies, especially in focus sectors that are crucial to development in Mena and are of strategic interest to the group. The Mena office will report to Madhu Kannan, Member, Group Executive Council, Tata Sons.

Sinha has been in the Tata group for over 31 years, most recently as the CEO of Tata Quality Management Services (TQMS).

Dubai continues to attract companies from different sectors across India.

On Thursday, Kerala-based property developer Asset Homes also expanded its operations into Dubai aimed at catering to the increasing demand from the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers.

The builder announced special investment opportunities for the NRI customers in the UAE and beyond to invest in a range of premium projects across seven districts of Kerala.

Last month, New India Assurance Co. Ltd., fully owned by the Government of India, also announced plans to open its Middle East hub in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as part of its strategic move to enhance its footprints in the region.
