UAE airlines Emirates and Etihad are offering discounted airfares to a number of their destinations during the pre-holiday period.

Dubai’s Emirates airline has today launched a three-day sale on its airfares, offering 10 per cent off its economy class airfares (inclusive of taxes and surcharges) to 32 destinations, including to the Indian subcontinent, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Africa.

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad too has a number of its destinations on sale during this weekend, with flights originating from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

An Emirates return ticket from Dubai to Karachi is being offered by the airline for just Dh1,080 while flights to India start from Dh1,370 return (Dubai-Chennai) and flights to Europe begin at just Dh2,380 (Dubai-Vienna), according to the airline’s postcard offers. Return airfares to America start at Dh6,100 (Dubai-Washington).

To avail these prices, customers will need to book between today, September 20 and midnight Saturday, September 22, 2012, for outbound travel between September 20, 2012, and December 5, 2012.

Etihad Airways is offering Abu Dhabi-Adis Ababa return for just Dh990 while Abu Dhabi-Chennai return will set you back by just Dh1,090. Etihad’s departure period varies for different destinations.
