UAE's RAK Airways has commenced its operation to Amman and Islamabad.

The launch flight to Amman, Jordan, was inaugurated with rose flowers by Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah and Vice Chairman of RAK Airways as well as Murabit Al Sawaf, President and CEO of the airline.

Speaking on the launch, Al Sawaf said, "Amman is our 11th destination and this is our first entry into the Levant region. The demand from Northern Emirates is excellent and we have achieved a full launch flight. We look forward to welcome many more passengers onboard RAK Airways."

Ras Al Khaimah - Amman is four days a week service and the departure is at 12:20pm from RAK Airport.

The recent two launches of RAK Airways to two capitals - Islamabad and Amman marks the airline's first two destination launches in 2013. RAK Airways aims to reach 40 destinations by 2015.

Islamabad is RAK Airways’ third entry point into destination Pakistan. In 2011, the airline made its first entry into Pakistan with two-weekly flights to Lahore and Peshawar. In the first half of 2013, the airline increased its frequency to Lahore and Peshawar from two to three flights a week to meet passenger demand.
