Dubai-based Al-Futtaim Automotive Division has announced plans to open its ‘auto park’ within Dubai Investments Park (DIP).

The Auto Park, to be operational in 2017, will showcase top car brands such as Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge.

It will also include its Alac business, comprising tyres, batteries, workshop equipment & body shop divisions.

The multi-level showroom complex, which will span a total area of 34,466 square meters, will be among one of the largest automobile parks in the region.

Once ready, the park will offer a wide array of services including sales, service, repairs, car hire and spare parts sales, among others and accommodate over 1,400 vehicles for sale, service and stock inventory.

DIP is fast emerging as the preferred automobile hub in Dubai, with leading car brands and companies opening showrooms within the development.

Omar Al Mesmar, General Manager of DIP, said: “The wide array of automobile retail outlets within DIP is part of its commitment to offer a multifaceted brand experience to our customers. With this new Auto Park, DIP will serve as a new sales and service channel for leading car brands amidst surging volumes and growth in demand expected in the auto market in the coming years.”

Len Hunt, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive Division, said: “We are on the threshold of aggressive expansion in the UAE and the Auto Park in DIP is designed to meet the growing demands of customers, and neighbouring communities.

“DIP is expected to witness exponential growth due to its strategic proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport and the Expo 2020 site, which will translate into surging growth in its industrial & residential offerings and the cascading demand for quality commercial and passenger vehicles.”

The project will be completed in two phases and the concept designs have been finalised.

DIP is a mixed-use industrial, commercial and residential complex operated by Dubai Investments Park Development Company. Spread across an area of 2,300 hectares, it is divided into three distinct zones – each setting the benchmark for high quality projects in a well-planned, fully-integrated master community development.
