Jobs Abu Dhabi web portal announced its collaboration with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC) to facilitate Abu Dhabi’s Emiratisation efforts and providing more opportunities to UAE’s job seekers.

Another key initiative in the pipeline is the new mobile app for Jobs Abu Dhabi users.

Speaking at the 5th Annual Emiratisation Forum, which began on Monday, Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) Project Manager, Dr. Ahmed Al Hashimi, revealed details of the partnership in the presence of a large audience comprising government and private entities.

Jobs Abu Dhabi portal is Abu Dhabi’s leading job search engine and portal that can be used by jobseekers around the world to connect with employers from the Emirate’s government and private sectors. Launched in 2008 by ADSIC, it has over 400,000 registered local, regional and global candidates with more than 870 entities from the Emirate’s government and private organisations, including the office of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"ADSIC has collaborated with ADTC to boost the Emiratisation efforts of the government. The partnership allows Emirati job seekers registered on our website to be connected with employers registered on the Jobs Abu Dhabi portal. The partnership is an extension of our virtual platform that not only helps employers source qualified Emirati candidates but also serves local talent to apply for positions both in the UAE and abroad," Dr Hashimi added.

As a result of the collaboration, job seekers registered on ADTC website will be able to view job postings on Jobs Abu Dhabi portal as well as submit their job applications without having to register separately on the Jobs Abu Dhabi portal. ADTC will be notified in case an application made for a job posted on Jobs Abu Dhabi gets viewed by an interested employer.

Al Hashimi said the online education course, e-citizen was launched in collaboration with ADSIC and other public and private entities aimed towards training Abu Dhabi’s citizens on computer applications and the use of the latest technology, including Internet and e-services.

The focus for Jobs Abu Dhabi portal in 2013 is mainly to launch initiatives to enhance services for government entities, he added.
