Major airlines operating to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) have confirmed that all services are back to normal and all their flights are now operating as per original schedule.

An incident involving Emirates Airline's flight EK521, arriving from India, occurred at the airport on Wednesday, affecting air traffic schedules.

An Emirates spokesperson told Emirates 24|7 on Sunday that "operations have resumed normally". In total, over 23,000 Emirates passengers were impacted by the disruption following the incident on August 3, the airline had earlier said.

India-based Jet Airways, which is a codeshare partner of the UAE’s Etihad Airways, said in a statement that it has restored its full flight schedule to Dubai from August 7, 2016, following the resumption of normal operations at Dubai Airport.

“On August 4 and 5 2016, Jet Airways operated wide-body aircraft to Dubai and rerouted its narrow body aircraft to Sharjah to facilitate the travel of its guests ensuring minimum disruption, given the limited operating slots at Dubai. On these two days, Jet Airways operated a total of two A330 and four Boeing 777 flights to and from Dubai with 1786 guests and 16 flights on Boeing 737 aircraft to and from Sharjah with 2237 guests,” it said.

Yesterday, Jet rerouted some of its Dubai departures from Delhi and Mangalore to Sharjah. With this, the airline said, it completed the successful transfer of all Dubai-bound guests from India.

IndiGo, an India-based budget airline, also confirmed resumption of normal services to DXB today. “We would like to inform all our customers and business partners that IndiGo has resumed normal flight operations to and from Dubai. Effective 7th August, we are operating all 11 flights into Dubai as per published schedule,” a spokesperson said.

Doha-based Qatar Airways too said that all its flights were back to original schedule as of Saturday. “Qatar Airways flights between Doha and Dubai International Airport are currently fully operating as per our schedule since Saturday, August 6,” a spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement to Emirates 24|7.

Earlier today, Dubai Airports confirmed in a statement that that it had lifted all remaining capacity restrictions at DXB and the airport resumed normal operations on the afternoon of Saturday, August 6.

“The ability to prioritise large aircraft has enabled a return to regular scheduled activity sooner than anticipated,” said the manager of DXB and Dubai World Central airports.
