ESC has been facilitating Indian ICT exporters participation regularly at COMEX to enhance IT trade cooperation between India and the burgeoning Oman market. "The world of IT is evolving at a rapid pace, dominated by four main mega-trends: mobility, cloud, big data and social networking, enabling businesses and users to do more of activities they value the most, whether they are at home, at work or on-the-go".  India has a great stake in the booming Middle East, Africa, Asia (WANA Region) and European markets. Thus the event provides the participating Indian IT companies opportunities for scouting the expanding burgeoning entries Middle East market.

This year in 2015 at Comex, Oman, 11 Indian IT companies are exhibiting at the INDIA Pavilion which indicates the growing interests of the Indian companies in the Middle East Region. India pavilion will highlight innovative IT products & services including computer software,  Mobile Application and Web Development, Internet and Cyber Security, Education and Digital Learning, Enterprises Solutions, Cloud Based Development, Portable printers, Handheld PDA, ERP Solutions, Web Designing, CCTV Solutions, LED Display Boards etc.

The Middle East region is one of the fastest growing ICT markets in the world. High growth prevails across all segments, and the market is driven by economic diversification and various e-government initiatives including finance, communications, and manufacturing. The region has robust economies, which despite downturns around the world, continues to enjoy high growth rates. A number of Indian companies therefore find Oman an ideal location for enhancing their businesses says Mr D K Sareen, Executive Director, ESC.

India is witnessing a very high growth in exports of electronics hardware.  It is estimated that IT export from India to Middle East Countries during 2013-14 was USD 2069 Mln up from US$  1850 million in 2012-13, which clearly shows the rising interest amongst the Indian IT exporting community to explore Middle East and neighboring countries.
