UAE residents can now fly to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Egypt and Qatar for just Dh100.

Rak Airways, based in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, is offering passengers flying to six countries one-way fare of Dh100 and return for just Dh200 - excluding taxes  - on the occasion of its second anniversary starting Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

This fare is applicable to 10 cities where airline flies to - including Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Chittagong, Dhaka, Doha, Jeddah, Kathmandu, Kozhikode, Lahore and Peshawar.

Passengers must book between October 10 and 12, 2012 and the travel validity for outbound flights is from November 1-30.  But there is no restriction for inbound return, the carrier said.

Rak Airways, one of the flagship carriers of the UAE, last week made history by becoming the UAE flag carrier to begin domestic flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Abu Dhabi and signed a code sharing agreement with Etihad Airways.

“This agreement with Etihad will give us an extended reach. We cannot grow organically to match the likes of Qatar Airways or compete against Etihad or Emirates. We knew this from the very beginning. Etihad’s policy and strategy is also based on alliances and partnerships to help spread their business,” said John Brayford, CEO, Rak Airways.
