The redeveloped Al Majaz Waterfront area would be ready for the leisure of the public by the end of this year, its developer the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced.

The 4700 square metre developemnt, allocated for eight high-class restaurants and cafes with exquisite views overlooking the Khalid Lagoon and the Musical Fountain have already been delivered to investors, who are currently busy providing final touches to the

Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO Shurooq, said in a press statement that the first phase of the Dh100million project would open during the fourth quarter of this year as the developers are working day and night to ensure its completion in time.

Al Sarkal revealed that all the facilities were fully leased, several months ahead of the first phase's completion date. These facilities include a number of luxury restaurants and cafes, which will open in Sharjah for the first time.

The Al Majaz Waterfront would also include a grand leisure park that complies with international standards. The park is spread over an area of 231,000 square feet with the first phase occupying 121,000 square feet and the second phase extending over 110,000 square feet.
