Now residents of Abu Dhabi and Northern Emirates can fly to each other emirates for just Dh41.

RAK Airways plans to celebrate the UAE’s National Day on December 2nd by offering flyers a special one-way fare of Dh41 to mark the country’s 41st anniversary.

John Brayford, CEO of RAK Airways, said: “This will be the first time RAK Airways flies into the capital on UAE National Day and we would like to transport UAE nationals and residents in the Northern Emirates to the capital at a great fare to experience the 41st UAE National Day in the capital, with all its fanfare.”

The carrier relaunched its operation in October 2010 and has flown over 250,000 passengers in 2011. On October 10, 2012, the airline completed two years of flying and has successfully changed its business model from low-cost to a full service carrier with great fares.

In October, the airline made history as the first UAE national carrier to fly domestic flights into the capital. The route has already proved popular with passengers on RAK Airways global network and on RAK – Abu Dhabi route.

There is also significant interest from passengers flying from the Northern Emirates on RAK Airways to London, Manchester, Dublin, Bangkok and Geneva with the airline’s code share partner equipment, Etihad Airways.
