Personal finance: Debt crisis? Shift focus to 'big picture'

Failure is inevitable in all spheres of your life but right now, facing your debt-crisis does not mean you must throw in the towel on yourself and your recovery, in fact quite the contrary.

People have failed abysmally throughout their lives but they persevered until they conquered their fears and their situations and they are no different to you, trust me on this.

They just learn’t how to shift their focus and concentrate on the big picture ahead of them and that that is how they succeeded and how the money just comes.

Whilst you are focusing on debt, they are focusing on the big picture. It is the same with wealthy people, they do not focus on money, they focus on their goals and the big picture, whilst you are focusing on money, or the lack of money so much, that it cannot come to you.

So here lies the secret of deliberate creation.

You have absolutely no idea of anyone else’s situation but because of your habit of just viewing another person and then deriving at your own assumption that their lives are perfect, diminishes your will, drive and inspiration to overcome your own problems.

The biggest problem the human being has throughout existence, is comparing themselves and their situations to those of others and that is such a bad comparative to make, because you don’t know and you will never know how imperfect someone else’s life is, unless they open up to you and chances are, that won’t happen in a million years!

Focus on your big picture

My key point is you should only focus on your big picture, see yourself debt-free and things shifting for you and eliminate the thoughts that tend to seep in that make you feel inept and incapable of achieving or overcoming and then assuming that whatever it is you dream of having, is out of your reach, because it is not.

Rather, label your debt-crisis as a lesson that you have learn’t from that enables you to lead by example for your upcoming generations.

When something feels totally heavy and awkward, convert it to a featherweight of a problem and so that enables you mentally to adjust your emotions, easing the burden and adding some form of drive and determination to overcome the problem.

Daily affirmations

I am not a failure!

I embrace this lesson!

I am open to receiving this lesson!

This lesson will serve me!

I am no different to anyone else!

I can do this! Yes!

Emotions that are borne out of debt-crisis can suck you into a dark black hole with absolutely no flickering light at the end of the tunnel and as you are sucked deeper and deeper into that hole, you transform your mind into something saturated with depression, contemplating all bad solutions and at the end, that does not serve you at all because however deep you are sucked into that hole, you must still surface one day and face the music and that is the reality.

Direct approach

When you are ready, take the direct approach to your creditors with your debt action plan in hand.

When you release this aura of confidence and positivity the next person can’t help being affected as it is contagious because it is pure, full of wholeness and goodness and when you carry yourself around like this, people are attracted to you, they want to be close to you, they want to know what that ‘special thing’ is about you and so you then learn to master yourself and achieve your goals with very little effort.

The key is don’t focus on your debt-crisis, review it from a different angle, see how you can start changing yourself and then once you have done that, everything changes and it is a process. You could receive miracles unfolding before your eyes, in your favour, simply because you changed your attitude.

Even when you feel and think that nothing good is happening for you, after you have visited your creditors, continue pounding on their door very diplomatically, at the highest level if you must, but get your request across the right table and be insistent, because at the end, someone must acknowledge your efforts and when we are positive, someone will be there to accept your reach and create that miracle you asked for and it can take 24 hours, not even days or weeks.

“Do today what others won’t, so you can livetomorrow like others can’t!”
