UAE summer car sale: Drive home a killer deal

If upgrading your car or buying a new one is on your agenda, then now is the time to go car shopping.

Many motoring companies have launched summer deals that promise to offer great discounts, packaged with service and warranty add-ons.

Japanese motoring companies are all on sale. Toyota has launched its ‘happy days’ sales, that is expected to bring about savings of up to Dh28,000 across select models. The Camry will offer a savings of up to Dh12,000, Corolla up to Dh7,600, and Fortuner up to Dh7,100.

Mazda has May offer on, with offerings of free 1-year insurance, roadside assistance, registration and service (up to 60,000km) on select models of their 2015 sedans.

Mitsubishi has ‘Big, bigger, biggest’ offer. The Lancer Ex starts at Dh44,000 and Pajero at Dh86,000 onwards. These come with free insurance, 5-years/100,000km warranty, 3M tinting and Scotchgard.

Honda pitches discounts on the 2015 Accord and Pilot. There’s a deferred payment for up to 4 months, and a five-year free service worth up to Dh10,200 for Accord, and Dh11,800 for the Pilot.

Nissan launched ‘deal alerts’, which according to their showroom sales person offers instant cash discounts on select models. The top of the range Maxima comes at Dh115,000, Altima at Dh85,000, and Sentra at Dh59,000. These are packaged with 5-year warranty and 2-year-free service.

Korean Kia has unveiled special offers on its 2015 models with cash discounts, free insurance and 1-year/20,000km service contract chalked in.

French Renault has announced savings up to Dh15,000 through its hot summer deals. The Fluence top-of-the-range has been slashed from Dh76,500 to Dh63,900, and Safrane from Dh85,000 to Dh79,900. The price for Duster has also been cut down from Dh62,900 to Dh58,000. And, this model comes with free insurance, 3-year service and five-year warranty.

American brand Ford has pitched its sedans – Figo, Fiesta, Focus and Taurus – starting from Dh51,000, and added 5-years/100,000km service and maintenance, 5-years/100,000km manufacturer’s warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance and 1-year free insurance. It’s SUVs – Explorer and Edge – start from Dh95,000, and offer 3-year/60,000km service and maintenance.

Chevrolet offers buyers a choice between cash discounts or packages that include free insurance or two-year service. They also have a ‘buy now, pay next year’ offer for its 2015 models of Malibu, Impala and Trax.

“Buy your dream vehicle now and pay the first instalment in January 2016,” reads their online advert.

Another American brand Jeep has put up its Grand Cherokee 2015 for Dh139,999, along with free 3 year/60,000km service contract and 5-year warranty.

Korean Hyundai has its 10-day promotion for its 2015 models of Accent. Starting Dh42,000, the cars come with free insurance and free service contract for a year or 20,000km.

Chinese car company Chery also offers savings on their cars. They promise savings of up to Dh17,000, along with free registration/service, and 5-years-/150,000km warranty. The Chery E8 starts from Dh39,900 while their bigger Tiggo starts at Dh44,900.
