Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has released a tender for the 100 MW-Phase II of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park to qualified Independent Power Producer (IPP) developers.
The project supports the Green Economy for Sustainable Development to promote green economy in the UAE.
It also supports the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030 outlined by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy to diversify the energy mix by 2030.
Dewa received 49 qualification documents through open request for the qualification process which was released last May.
Dewa has shortlisted 24 developers for the second phase of the tender.
Deadline for submitting the bids is October 23, 2014.
