Future energy opens in Abu Dhabi

650 companies from 53 countries are participating

Thousands of officials and experts gathered in Abu Dhabi on Monday for a four-day show and conference on future energy, the fifth annual event of its kind to be held in the capital.

Nearly 650 companies from 53 countries are participating in the exhibition while 53 government delegations and 140 speakers would attend the conference which will focus on the latest developments in future energy.

The event is expected to attract more than 26,000 visitors, including heads of state and government, 42 ministers and senior officials.

It will be held under the patronage of General  Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The event is sponsored by the Abu Dhabi-based Masdar, the world’s largest single future energy initiative.
