HTC unveils One (M8) for Windows

HTC has unveiled the Windows version of the popular One (M8). The device comes with the features of the Android version and Boom Sound, dual camera with ultra-pixel, 5MP front-facing camera and HTC’s dot view.

Windows users will also get to use HTC’s Blinkfeed – a news reader with a live tile layout. In terms of hardware, the 5-inch device has similar features as its Android counterpart with a full HD 1080P display, Quadcore 801 chipset and 32GB internal storage expandable upto 128GB.

Initially, the phone will only be available on Verizon in the US but will soon roll out into other markets.

The HTC One (M8) for Windows also covers by HTC Advantage programme, which provides free replacement for a cracked screen.

Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC Americas, said: “HTC fills a gap in the market for unique devices that put a premium on form and function. Microsoft shares our vision, and that’s why we committed to bringing the Windows Phone platform to the HTC One (M8).”
