Dubai-based Jumeirah Group is hiring hoteliers for its hotel to be opened in Dubai over the next couple of months.

The hotel will employ around 400 people for its Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Garhoud (Dubai) to be opened in the fall of 2011, a hotel spokesperson told Emirates 24l7.

The group has just completed recruitment of 900 hoteliers for its Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi which will take reservations as of November 1.

“We’ve had two open recruitment days (for Etihad Towers) in Dubai in April which were very successful and another recruitment day (on invitation for pre-screened candidates) is took place on July 25 in Dubai.  We are planning to open the hotel with about 900 colleagues,” the spokeswoman said, adding that “we will open the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Garhoud (Dubai) in the fall of 2011, employing around 400 colleagues. (But) no recruitment fair is scheduled (for Creedside Hotel). Our Development team is always looking at potential partnerships with owners/developers in the region and around the world.”

The group, according to the website, will open six new properties around the world during this year. Frankfurt Jumeirah, Germany, is the latest addition to its global brand network. Three new hotels have already been opened in the first fourth months of 2011.

Recently, Jumeirah said it recorded better occupancy during the first four months of 2011, averaging out at 85 per cent over with RevPAR rising by over seven per cent compared to the same period in 2010. Robust growth was recorded in business hotels in Dubai, New York and London.
