Speculations on the iPhone5 release date continue with a UK-based tabloid now claiming that the Apple’s new phone will be released on September 21.

The Daily Mail reports that the specific release date was leaked by a Chinese source to a French website called App4Phone.

The launch date for the new iPhone has remained a subject of serious speculation with sources first claiming an October release, but later advancing it by two months to August before setting a September-October deadline again.

Emirates 24|7 had earlier reported that apple could launch the new phone on Steve Jobs’ death anniversary on October 5.

It has been reported that the manufacturers have already started the production process of iPhone5 . According to Digitimes quoting industry sources in Taiwan the work is already on in factories in China.

Most of the rumored reports however indicate that the new phone will have a larger screen with in-cell touch display technology that would make the handset thinner compared to the previous model.

It has also been almost confirmed that the new phone will have a smaller 19pin dock connector and charging port.
