New colours for BlackBerry Passport

BlackBerry could soon launch multiple new colour variants of its flagship device the Passport and it could well come out as early as Christmas.

BlackBerry launched the 4.5 inch square shaped Passport in September and so far you can only buy the black Passport.

While the Canadian firm has already confirmed about an all new white edition, there have also been rumours of a rose gold and red coloured Passport.

The white Passport was on display during the recent launch of the device in India and pictures have already been uploaded on tech blog N4BB.

The blog is also reporting that images of a red coloured Passport could be coming soon.

According to the blog the details and pictures of the red device were accidentally leaked on the official BlackBerry page on Amazon.com and priced at $699.

Earlier there were images leaked of a BlackBerry Passport custom designed by a Dubai based company that was marketing gold plated devices.

BlackBerry has pinned its hops on the new Passport.

Although BlackBerry has so far not provided any details about the actual sales of the device, last month CEO John Chen was quoted as saying that sales so far had exceeded expectations.

The device is clearly aimed at dedicated BlackBerry fans and professional business users. It remains to be seen if the two new colours, could bring in an added boost to Passport sales.
