HTC One has made an appearance on the du website, which means that phone could be coming to the UAE very soon.
One Du customer care official told Emirates 247 that the pre-orders for the handset are expected to start soon.
HTC One has scored very high on the design front and runs on Android 4.2 and is available on Amazon.com for $900.
The smartphone is powered with a 4.7-inch full HD display and a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor.
Among the new features such as an ultrapixel camera that is capable of shooting quality pictures even in very low light conditions, HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound.
The Taiwan based company is desperate for the success of HTC One as it tries to catch up with Samsung and Apple.
The phone was expected to be released in February but shortage of the phone's camera components delayed its release to the end of March. It only became available in Taiwan by March end and is expected to be released in the US on April 19.
The smartphone is expected to reach UAE within the next few days after the US launch.
Last week it was launched in India for Rs42,900 and will be be available by the last week of April.
The delay has had a significant impact on HTC’s earnings as the company released its first quarter results for 2013 with the net profit reduced by 91.5 per cent compared to 2012.
Its unaudited net profit for the three months to March 31 fell to US$2.83 million.
According to IDC statistics, its global market share for smartphones dropped from 8.8 per cent in 2011 to 4.6 per cent last year.
