iPhone finally allows Facebook to get close

iPhone will finally let Facebook into its ambit with a new integration for the social network being planned for the iOS6.

In a recent interview, Apple's CEO Tim Cook indicated that there could soon be a Twitter like integration of Facebook on the forthcoming iOS.

Currently, users of iPhone 4S can directly post photos on to Twitter. Facebook integration which is being planned for iPhone 4S was cancelled at the last minute. Tech Crunch reports that there will be multilevel integration of Facebook into the new iPhone to be launched later this year.

"To be clear, Twitter will still very much be a part of the new iOS (presumably named “iOS 6″ and codenamed “Sundance“). But Facebook integration will be very important for iOS — tonnes of apps use Facebook for sign-ups and authentication (many use Facebook as the only way to do this, to the dismay of some). Apple has been undoubtedly watching this activity and realised that it was time to formally bring Facebook on board." the report says.

Last week it was reported that Facebook was planning to launch its own phone.

Meanwhile, new details have emerged about the redesign of the upcoming iOS 6 mobile software. According to reports quoting those close to the project the three major digital stores - iTunes, the App Store, and the iBookstore - will see design overhauls.

Also with the launch of the new iPhone be prepared to dump the old iPhone chargers and dock connectors as new designs with much smaller syncing and charging port have been leaked.

Latest leaked iPhone parts have confirmed earlier reports that Apple is testing new iPhone designs that has a much smaller syncing and charging port compared to the 30 pin dock port that is currently being used in iPhones, iPads and iPhones.

Leaked images on the tech blog 9to5Mac showcases a new metal back cases of the new iPhone.

Below the pictures the much smaller dock connectors can be clearly seen. The new design would also include an earphone jack moving to a corner at the bottom of the case.
