Jafza launches its first smart phone applications

For iPhone, Blackberry and Android mobiles

Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) has launched "JafzaSmart", its first smartphone applications for iPhone, Blackberry and Android phones.

JafzaSmart will enable Jafza customers to log into their Dubai Trade account from their smartphones, making business transactions with Jafza easier. Jafza customers can follow the status of their service requests with Jafza, request and pay for 23 different types of letters or renew their company’s Employment Card, at any time, even when they are on the move.

At present more than 90 per cent of service requests delivered by Jafza are conducted online. The free zone is expected to make a large number of these services available through JafzaSmart during 2013.

Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO of Jafza, said: “The launch of JafzaSmart is one more step forward in enhancing our customer’s operational efficiency.”

Fatma Salem, EVP & Commercial Director, EZW-UAE Region, said: “By providing our potential clients and customers with accessible, convenient and more efficient options, Jafza has improved business communications, and enhanced operational control.”

Last year, Jafza introduced the e-License and e-Lease services. Also introduced was an online service for payment of customer invoices and an interactive electronic map on the Jafza website.
