Sony Mobile officially launched its Xperia Z smartphone in the Indian markets yesterday, promoted by none other than the glamorous Katrina Kaif.
The Bollywood heartthrob added a huge style quotient to the water-proof smartphone from Sony Mobile, which saw its global launch in January this year.
As we’d mentioned in our first impression of the Sony Xperia Z smartphone, the new phone makes clear Sony’s intentions to gun for the top spot in the fiercely competitive smartphones domain.
The Japanese tech giant added the ‘wow’ factor to the phone by loading some striking features into the new device – the new Xperia Z smartphone works under water for up to 30 minutes; so you can take it to shower or dunk it in a basin for fun.
The phone, which was launched in the UAE last month is available in Dubai for Dh2,499, and will be sold in India for a price-tag of Rs38,990, about Rs2,000 or Dh150 more expensive than what it retails at in the UAE.
Now, the big-spending Sony Mobile has roped in Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador for the phone, and Kaif does well to give the smartphone a good shower in the YouTube ad video.
The commercial shows her going on a road trip, which makes the Xperia Z dirty. Finally, the advertisement concludes with the actress giving the smartphone a good shower, highlighting its dust- and waterproof features.
While we did tell you all about the features in the past, we’re sure that this video will make it rather 'clear'.
