Samsung S4 Mini: Coming soon to a store near you – or is it?

Samsung is expected to launch three new devices including a smart watch

Samsung S4 is still not out but there are already rumours of a Samsung S4 mini floating around.

It is now being reported that 2013 could see Samsung launching not one but three new devices, including a smart watch.

Sammobile, which earlier reported about Samsung’s S4 under the codename Project J says the new information is based on upcoming accessories for Samsung’s Project J line.

The code name has since changed and according to the website within Samsung the S4 is currently being identified as ‘Altius’, while the S4 Mini is known as ‘Serrano’.

Emirates 24l7 had earlier reported about the leaked images of Galaxy S4 which is expected to feature a much bigger 5-inch 1080p full HD AMOLED screen, equipped with a more powerful Exynos 5440 ARM Cortex A15 processor, apart from the introduction of the S Pen stylus.

Like the S3 mini which sports a 4 inch display, the S4 mini too could feature a similar sized display but might sport much powerful quad-core Exynos processor.

The website also features a list of accessories being manufactured for the three devices such as an arm band, bike mount and pouch for the Smart Watch.

Meanwhile, more evidence is emerging about Samsung probably introducing wireless chargers for its forthcoming devices, similar to what we have seen in the Nokia Lumia series.

The report about Samsung going wireless was initially reported by South Korea’s DDaily.

Tech blog Android Community is now confirming that an FCC filing by Samsung is revealing a a Qi wireless charging pad.

According to the blog “the charging pad is showing as model number EAD-W10EWE, and while there was not all that much revealed in terms of specs and details, this filing just goes to give some hope for fans of both Samsung and wireless charging.”

The page long user manual submitted along with the filing has details about how to plug in the charger, the positioning of the phone and about LED indicators.
