UAE oil production at 2.5m bpd

The United Arab Emirates is currently producing at 2.5 million barrels per day (bpd), from a capacity of 2.7 million bpd, the country's oil minister said on Monday.     

Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamli said it was too early to cut back production based on the situation with oil output in Libya.     

"It's still premature to say. We don't know when Libyan production will be back," Hamli said on the sidelines of the Singapore Energy Week, when asked if the UAE will trim supply to accommodate returning Libyan production.
