Death for Dubai driver who killed his boss

A criminal court in Dubai on Wednesday sentenced an Indian driver to death for murdering his manager by hammering him and stabbing him 30 times.

The 35-year-old driver told court he committed his crime because of the manager’s failure to pay him Dh45,000 in delayed wages.

But the prosecutor described the defendant as a “man sick with revenge” and demanded his execution.

He told the judge that the defendant planned his murder and went to his manager in July with a hammer and a knife concealed in is hand bag.

“He struck him eight times with the hammer and stabbed him 30 times until he died,” the prosecutor said, according to Emirat Alyoum newspaper.
