Abu Dhabi Police arrested an engineer at a government laboratory accused of taking bribe from a client, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The 63-year-old soil testing engineer, who has been seconded by an employment company in the emirate, was charged of accepting Dh15,000 from a client to clear a document without taking the necessary procedures.

“He confessed during investigation that he used his job to achieve personal gains by taking bribe,” 'Emarat Al Youm' daily said, quoting Lt Colonel Matar Al Muhairi, director of the counter-corruption division at Abu Dhabi Police.
