1.6kg of cocaine found in visitor's intestines

A Nigerian visitor allegedly tried to smuggle 98 capsules, containing 1.6kg of cocaine, in his intestines the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
 
An anti-narcotic officer suspected NE, 42, and when asked for his passport, the passenger tried to run away using the emergency exit.
 
Police chased and caught him, searching him, he admitted to having capsules in his intestines.

However, he denied knowing what the drug was.

He said that he was to receive a call to hand over the capsules.
 
NE released 98 capsules that contained cocaine.
 
The court will reconvene on January 28.
