Mom runs over 18-month baby in RAK

An 18-month-old UAE boy suffered from chest fractures after he was accidentally run over by a car driven by his own mother in Ras Al Khaimah.

The boy was rushed to Sabq Hospital where he received urgent treatment before being admitted to the intensive care unit.

Doctors said the boy was stable after the accident which took place just before the evening Iftar meal at the family’s house in the northern emirate on Wednesday.

The Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said the woman had a breakdown after knocking over her own son without noticing he was playing in front of the car.
