BM who was arrested for trying to traffic cocaine from Brazil to Tanzania through Dubai Airport.
Two women, an African and an Asian, have been arrested for attempting to traffic cocaine through Dubai Airport.
In the first case, BM arrived in Dubai from Sao Paolo, Brazil en route to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Airport officials searched the luggage of BM, who appeared confused and showed signs of fear, and found 2.960kg of cocaine worth about Dh3 million.
BM said her husband’s friend in Brazil had asked her to deliver the bags to her husband in Tanzania.
In the second case, 528 grammes of cocaine was found concealed in the underwear of CDK who arrived in Dubai from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on her way to Islamabad in Pakistan.
CDK claimed she did not know anything about the drug and that her friend in Pakistan had asked her to bring the stuff in return for money.
