2kg cocaine in transit passenger's underwear

A 59-year-old Italian transit passenger allegedly carried in his underwear seven plastic packets containing more than 2kg of cocaine, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
 
A police officer, who was on duty on May 10, suspected a transit passenger who looked worried.

“I waited for him at the inspection point. Searching him, I noticed an abnormal swelling in the area under his belly. Taking him to the inspection room, it was found out that he was wearing three underwear and hiding seven packets between them. The Anti-Narcotics officer was informed and the visitor was arrested,” testified Isaac Ismael.

It was reported that transit passenger MR carried 2.058kg of cocaine.

The court will reconvene on November 22.
