3 charged for stealing and selling training suits

A 27-year-old Pakistani driver MKM allegedly stole training suits valued at Dh300,000 from his employer, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

Other two identified as GK, 32, Afghani driver, and ABB, 46, Indian, investor, have been accused of criminal complicity for the first and possessing stolen items for the second.

Askar Jan, 30, Iranian, in charge of a sports shop, testified that on December 10, he received a call from the store keeper telling him that the lock of the rear door of the store was missing.

“I rushed to the store and found large boxes and sacs missing that contained sports dresses valued about Dh300,000… so police was immediately notified,” he testified.

Investigating the case, MKM confessed to stealing the boxes and selling them to ABB with the help of GK who transported the items.

GK confessed to transporting items for Dh1,700.

ABB confessed to buying sports dress from the first accused against Dh40,000 while it’s actually valued at Dh60,000.

The Court adjourned the case to May 7.
