Four doctors in Ras Al Khaimah are facing charges of causing the death of an Emirati girl suffering from heart problems by failing to make the right diagnosis.

The four Arab and Asian doctors from two different hospitals in the northern emirate stood trial on Thursday but hearings were adjourned to another date.

Relatives of the girl have filed a suit against the doctors accusing them of failing to diagnose the girl’s illness properly, leading to her death after a heart surgery.

“The four doctors are facing charges in court that they have caused the death of the patient following a surgery,” the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej said.

Worker falls to death in Dibba

An Asian worker fell down from a high level in a building in Dibba Al Hosn and died in hospital later, a newspaper reported on Friday.

The unnamed man was working on that floor in a building in Al Iqd Al Fareed Rd in the eastern town when he slipped and fell down.

The worker was rushed to hospital by an ambulance but died later of serious injuries, Emarat Alyoum said, adding that police are investigating the incident.
