They tied his legs and threw him to the ground… one of them held his hand to his back and threatened to kill him if he called for help… they loaded a truck and drove away.

“I was not alone in the store… there was another guard at the main gate… I untied my legs and rushed to my colleague… he was sleeping at the gate… I told him about what had happened and we informed the police,” he testified.

Police arrested the accused who admitted to committing the theft. Two had climbed the fence and opened one of the store’s gates. Then they tied up the guard and drove in a truck… they cut power cables loaded them in the truck and drove to Sharjah. They sold the cables to someone called Salim for Dh30,000 which they distributed among themselves, the accused confessed to Sergeant Saeed Obaid.

The Court adjourned the case for verdict until April 8.
